Our Origin Story
Good Things Have Small Beginnings
The Fun Finds Retailer initially began as a concept. The owner of the company had noticed an important local area economic development trend: Radio Shack was closing many of its local area stores. After a successful visit to a local flea market with some HDMI cables purchased from a closing Radio Shack store, the company decided that it would serve this now-unserved market. The idea was to offer low-cost high-quality small electronic items for sale.
The company was started as a “pilot,” also known as a “proof of concept.” We wanted to see if the products would be well-received by the consumer. We did not start out on the Internet. Instead, testing for our concept was done with customers through person-to-person sales at local flea markets. We didn't even bother to register our website with any of the Internet Search Engines.
Testing out our products at local flea markets turned out to be a successful strategy. And, with our unique approach to be business that offers our products in-person as well as online, we offer the best of the web as well as the best in physical sales. In this manner we are able to protect the consumer from the risks of the internet while also protecting the consumer from the high prices of in-store sales. In short, it’s the best of both worlds!

This one: Why not take responsibility for the betterment of our own country, ourselves? Why not take charge, instead of waiting for others to do it for us? Like a butterfly emerging from a caterpillar for the first time, our little "Responsible Retailing" caterpillar of an idea has finally emerged from its cocoon. When "Responsible Retailing" gets its wings in this country, it will mean better products at better prices.

The Fun Finds Retailer is our first big push to bring about change in the world of business. We know we can deliver on the promise of "Responsible Retailing." We can do this by skipping over the normal supply chain and its added bloat. We can buy direct from our supplies who have branded and unbranded products to sale. And we can sell these items online and in person. This gives us total control over our own acquisition process. And as a result total control over quality. This enables our businesses to improve affordability without sacrificing quality.

You can also find us on the Internet in Cyberspace. In addition to our own website, you can find our products being sold on a few online aggregator websites, as well.
We actually prefer not to be present on online aggregator because other sellers tend to get tempted and can copy pictures, descriptions, and approaches and try to use them for their own products, which may not be as a good as our products. So, we try to be careful when we are on these sites.
